Welcome to my imprint

Hello, and welcome.

I’m Christopher Shevlin, and Albatross Publishing is the imprint I set up in 2012, when I released The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathon Fairfax.

I only publish my own books, of which there are now several. You can find out much more about them on my author website: christophershevlin.com

Possibly-fun fact: I chose the name Albatross because it seemed to be the only bird name that hadn’t already been taken by a publisher, and I was reasonably confident that I could draw one.

I later learned that there was an Albatross in Germany before the Second World War, publishing English-language books by writers such as Aldous Huxley. But it didn’t survive the war, and many of its innovations were used by Allen Lane when he set up Penguin.

So, there we are: unconsciously imitating a doomed enterprise. Let’s see how this goes.
