Jonathon Fairfax Must Be Destroyed

On Saturday, 16 September 2017, we launched our second Jonathon Fairfax book, Jonathon Fairfax Must Be Destroyed.

A heart-warming tale of office life, homicide and biscuits.

Jonathon Fairfax, the world’s most socially awkward hero, works for a giant corporation, where he specialises in muttering ‘um’ and tripping over bins. When he stumbles across a colossal corporate conspiracy, it soon becomes clear that someone will do anything to keep it secret – including murder.

The book is a stand-alone sequel to The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathon Fairfax.

Amazon reviews…

“This book is just wonderful! A real page turner which had me laughing out loud from the first page. I simply could not it down and spent much time annoying and entertaining my friends by reading passages out loud. I didn’t think Christopher Shevlin could surpass his last book (The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathan Fairfax) but he has. I had a difficult time last week after a friend passed away and the warmth and humour of this lovely book has sustained me.”

“Absolutely loved the first book featuring Jonathon Fairfax, so I was anxiously anticipating the follow up. I was not disappointed, it is a wonderful read. The book goes from wry to slapstick and you will be reading bits aloud to anyone who will listen.”

“As its predecessor, it’s an hilarious, clever, witty, well written, page-turning, cracking good read. The plots are genius, the characters are fantastic and it was a real pleasure to spend time with them again.”

“This is the funniest book I have read in years. I was laughing so hard I woke my sleeping husband up as I was reading next to him in bed.”

The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathon Fairfax

Meanwhile, our first publication has now sold over 30,000 copies, and counting.

When Jonathon Fairfax accidentally helps a murderer bump off Sarah Morecambe, the secretary of a senior politician, he sets off a chain of events that astonishes him. Jonathon is wrong-footed by even the most everyday things, so he’s particularly startled to find himself caught up in a conspiracy that goes right to the heart of government.

Teaming up with a suave private investigator, a glamorous grannie and the probable love of his life, Jonathon must confront his greatest fears – including talking to girls and balaclava-clad killers – and answer some very difficult questions. Who murdered Sarah Morecambe? What is the strange secret that unites the entire British government? And what exactly does it feel like to kiss a real-life woman?
